2026-27 Calendar for information, contact nextgen@impact100nyc.org UPCOMING EVENTS: October 17th, 2026 Join us for a morning of fresh air, good company, and giving back to Brooklyn! We’ll partner with Clean-Up PLG to spruce up the neighborhood, providing grabbers, trash bags, and gloves for everyone. This is a great group activity: we’ll walk the neighborhood, catch up with one another, and leave the streets a little cleaner for our Brooklyn neighbors. Join us! Time: 10 am-12 pm; Meet at New York Avenue and Empire Blvd. in Brooklyn November 10th, 2026 We are visiting God's Love We Deliver, an amazing organization in NYC that improves the health and well-being of people affected by life-altering illnesses. We will be packaging meals for people in need, and learning about the organization. Time: 4:45 pm - 7:00 pm; Meet at 166 Avenue of the Americas (on the corner of Spring Street). They are right above the C/E train at the Spring Street station.
More events coming soon (monthly through April)! _____________________________________________________________________ PAST EVENTS October '26 Teens visited Sure We Can in Brooklyn and helped sort bottles and cans and learned about how the facility serves as a recycle center and a community center for canners who collect cans and bottles from the streets to make a living. It is a dynamic, and special place! A vibe not lost on our members.
April/May '26 Members selected the 2026 Grantee! Congratulations to Knock Knock Give a Sock (KKGAS)! KKGAS is an organization humanizing homelessness... one sock a time... by bringing neighbors living in local homeless shelters and neighbors living homes together. The organization raises awareness about the homeless in addition to providing them fresh socks; a much needed resource in many homeless shelters.
March '26 We helped distribute books to teachers from under-resourced schools with Project Cicero.
February '26 We packed boxes with Connected Chef, which partners with tri-state area farmers and restaurants to provide prepared meals in Queens.
January '26 We partnered with Knock, Knock Give a Sock whose mission is to to humanize homeless one sock a time.
December '25 We partnered with Hearts of Gold and wrapped holiday gifts with love for families who are living in NYC shelters.
November '25 500 sandwiches made with ❤️ in partnership with One Sandwich at a Time...each one headed to someone who needs it to help our neighbors have a meal and a reminder that they are seen and cared for. September '25 We assembled over 100 hygiene kits to support Xavier Mission, our 2024 grantee dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
April '25 We volunteered at Sure We Can, a nonprofit recycling center, and help make NYC a greener place! ♻️
March '25 We helped distribute 170,000 books to 1,000 educators, in support of Project Cicero’s mission to enhance classroom and school libraries in under-resourced New York City public schools.books to teachers from under-resourced NYC public schools.
February '25 Once again, we partnered with One Sandwich at a Time to prepare 500 sandwiches and 50 hygiene Bags for people in need of extra love this month at Xavier Mission!
December '24 Together with Hearts of Gold and The Card Angel Project, we wrapped gifts and made cards for NYC children in temporary housing shelters, bringing them joy and hope for the holiday season.
November '24 We joined forces with One Sandwich at a Time and came together at the headquarters of the nonprofit, TEAK to prepare 800 sandwiches, spreading care and nourishment to those in need.
October '24 Volunteers rolled up their sleeves at Xavier Mission, our incredible 2024 Grantee, to sort and distribute clothing donations—helping provide comfort and dignity to those in need.
September '24 To kick start the new school year with purpose, nextgen hosted a street clean up in Queens! This was nextgen's first official event for the '24-25 school year. Despite the rain, our dedicated team showed up in full force, filling numerous bags with trash and making a tangible impact on the community.
