A Night to Remember

Our Annual Kick-Off Event was a huge success, with more than 80 members and guests joining us at The Greenwich Lane on Wednesday night. They got to hear from Executive Directors and representatives from Fiver Children's Foundation, Futures and Options, and You Gotta Believe about the ways in which our $100,000 Innovation Grants are being put to work. A common theme among all of our grant recipients was how the women of Impact 100 NYC generously give their time, expertise, and resources to their causes, and are true partners to these organizations. Kudos to you!

Thank you Michele Marsh for making space available for us to host this wonderful event and Lauren Albert for pulling it all together.

We will be holding several other events over the next few weeks including:

  • Cocktails & Conversations on November 2nd from 6 to 8 pm on the Upper East Side; and
  • Lunch & Learn on November 15th from 12 to 2 pm on the Upper West Side.

Details for these and other events (including volunteering for Operation Gobbler) are below.

Upcoming Events

Fall is a great time to introduce friends and family to the work that we're doing, and we're making it easy by scheduling some intimate, in-person get togethers. Our next event is on November 2nd at the home of member Anne Cutler on the Upper East Side. We hope to see you (and perhaps a friend) there!

Our next Lunch & Learn is being held in person on November 15th on the Upper West Side. Come hear member Kira Copperman, a board certified executive coach, talk about The Rise of Imposter Syndrome. Space is limited so RSVP quickly to reserve a spot.

Under the Impact 100 NYC model, members donate $1,000 each year, all of which is awarded as grants during the following "giving cycle." We are currently recruiting members for our 2023 giving cycle. Thank you to everyone who has already said "COUNT ME IN." If you haven't already signed up for the 2023 grant, we hope you will do so now (link below). The cutoff is December 31st so don't wait too long! If you're not sure whether you already renewed or have questions about membership generally, reach out to Membership Chair Risa Schessel.

Count Me In For 2023

Letter of Inquiry Deadline is November 9th

Our online portal is open and accepting applications until November 9th. We anticipate giving out multiple $100,000 Innovation Grants so please continue to share this grant opportunity with nonprofits and encourage them to apply if they meet our eligibility criteria (on our website under "Apply For a Grant"). Send any questions to grantsQ@impact100nyc.org.

Volunteers Wanted!

Our 2021 operating grantee Reaching-Out Community Services is holding their annual Operation Gobbler on November 21st from 11am to 2pm, where they'll be distributing 1,300 turkeys and meal kits to families. This event was made possible by the generosity of member Shelley Spevakow and the Ssassy Foundation which donated $25,000. They have also started a matching program for an additional $10,000 for this event. Donations can be made here.

If you are interested in volunteering at this Brooklyn event, register here or email Nonprofit Relations with any questions.

Several of our other Innovation Grant recipients and finalists are looking for volunteers. If you are interested in learning more, email Nonprofit Relations or check out our full grantee wish lists here.
