NYC Women Make Things Happen

Our grant review process is underway! Founding Members serving on Grant Review Committees have been hard at work -  A BIG NYC shoutout for their time, insight and compassion. Members have embraced the process and gotten to know each of their assigned organizations - the mission, the programs, and the ways in which our grant would transform those they serve. It's also been a great way to get to know other Founding Members!

We couldn't have gotten where we are without the help of our GRC co-chairs who have done an incredible job of organizing this process and fostering meaningful conversation. So a big thanks to Florence Rosen and Gerilyn Smith (Lady Liberty)Kate Lisko and Nina Darastos (Empire City), Sylvia Montan and Jessica Nymeyer (Big Apple), and Karen Handler and Michelle DeFossett (Gotham).

This process is inspiring and humbling and, yes time consuming, but is worth it because we're bringing about real change!

Mark your calendars for May 20th when Impact 100 NYC will be hosting its first ever Big Give!  This is where the action happens - Founding Members will hear first hand from the four finalists for our 2021 transformative grant and then vote on the final grant recipient. We're working hard on our end to make this a memorable evening. But we need you there too so be sure to set aside the date! Details to follow . . .

Today is International Women's Day, when women across the world are celebrated for their achievements. In 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York City seeking shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. In 2021, 146 Impact 100 NYC Founding Members embarked on their own mission in NYC, seeking to bring about transformational change by harnessing their collective resources, skills, network and passion. This is only the beginning!
